13 Back to the Future Predictions That Actually Came True

October 21, 2015, also known as the day in “Back to The Future Part II” that Emmett “Doc” Brown, Marty McFly, and his girlfriend Jennifer Parker arrive from the year 1985 by taking a DeLorean time machine to help their future children.

The film is undoubtedly known for having some spectacular futuristic gadgets and predictions, some of which have yet to grace us with its presence (mainly because of how impossible it is) and some that have actually come true! In honor of today and the film, it only seems right to appreciate all the technological advances we’ve made in 25 years that they correctly predicted by continuing to read our list, don’t you think?

1. Hands-Free / Wireless Gaming

Although they never actually show any wireless/hands-free games, any fan will remember the “Wild Gunman Scene” where Marty shows two little kids how to play the old arcade game. Not impressed, one of the little kids exclaims, “You mean you have to use your hands?” and the other responds with, “That’s like a baby’s toy!”

While plenty of video games actually still require you to use your hands, it has been 8 years since Playstation released the Eye and 5 years since Xbox released the Kinect, both allowing the gamers to control onscreen actions using hand gestures.
